Gamepad Tester
About Gamepad Tester
Gamepad Tester is a small, focused home for people who want clear controller checks before they blame a game, a driver, or their own aim.
Made for Players
We built the site around the moment when a controller feels wrong. A live button map and a calm center check can turn that feeling into useful evidence.
Free to Use
There is no paid tier hiding the basic checks. Open the page, connect a pad, and read the signals your browser can see.
Browser Native
The tool uses the standard Gamepad API. You do not need a driver installer, a desktop app, or an account for the first check.
Low Noise
The interface keeps the data in view. It avoids busy panels so you can focus on a button, a stick, a trigger, or a rumble response.
Why Gamepad Tester Exists
The idea began with a familiar gaming problem: a character kept walking left even when the stick was untouched. Game menus offered no useful clue, and a search for a quick controller check led to pages with old layouts, download prompts, or data that was hard to read. A better first step was to show the raw input in a clean browser view.
Gamepad Tester now focuses on that first step. The home tool displays standard buttons, analog axes, trigger travel, and browser vibration support. It can help you check a new purchase, compare a wired cable with Bluetooth, or record a symptom before asking for repair. It cannot see every console-only feature, so each page explains its limits in plain language. Read the diagnostic disclaimer before using a reading to make a repair or return decision.
Built with Care
The site is designed to load as a static page and keep controller input in the browser session. We do not need your name to show a button state. We also keep the future tool links visible so the site can grow into focused PS5, Xbox, vibration, and drift checks without hiding the main tester. For data details, read the Privacy Policy.
